BIRTH Java originated from Sun Microsystems' ambitions to create a universal platform that can integrate a variety of machines. Secret project that brought a big mission was given the name Project Green. The project involves Patrick Naughton, Mike Sheridan, and James Gosling and then assisted 13 people staff. They worked behind closed doors and isolate themselves in a building on Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park, California, USA. Java is present on the right momentum as the Internet and the needs of emerging multimedia applications. James Gosling prove the greatness of Java with John Gage, director of Sun's Science Office when giving a presentation titled "Hollywood-meets-Silicon-Valley" in early 1995. He managed to show a three-dimensional molecular motion in the middle of a computer screen by moving the mouse. James Gosling was born on May 19, 1956 of three children near Calgary, Canada. Since childhood he was very interested in electronics. He immediately joined IBM after college. Unfortunately the results of his work was never produced. A year later, he joined Sun Microsystems to become part of the Green Team to carry out secret projects Project Green. Currently, he is still contributing to the Real-Time Specification of Java and a researcher at Sun labs for software development tools.
